Tiara Lester is a passionate environmental and social justice leader focused on building more equitable, resilient communities. Based in Hagerstown, Maryland, her work centers on bridging the gap between systems and people, ensuring that sustainability and energy initiatives are not only innovative, but accessible and inclusive for all.

As a Project Manager at Energy Solutions, Tiara advances equity-driven strategies across energy efficiency programs, supporting state and utility companies across the nation. She works closely with communities, partners, and stakeholders to improve access, affordability, and engagement. Prior to this role, she led the development of environmental and energy justice programming at Frederick County Government, including the Green Homes Program, which was awarded the 2025 MWCOG Climate & Energy Leadership Award for Large Government.

She holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, equipping her with a strong foundation in both analytical and strategic decision-making.

 

Deeply rooted in community impact, Tiara has contributed to advisory boards and regional initiatives that prioritize environmental justice, education, and collective progress. As a board member of Envision Frederick County, she is excited to support forward-thinking solutions that reflect the needs and voices of the entire community.
